Compass Logo

This design was created to support the newly merged compass program with Colorado Mesa University IRIS. The mission of the Compass Program is to empower students with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to navigate the challenges of college life with resilience and humility.

The University wanted the design to be updated and represent success and they specifically requested the design to have a compass somewhere in the design. The logo itself is a hiker/student to represent that the western slope encourages success but also the exploration of the great outdoors. The item that the person is standing in is the national monument rock structure that is located within the Colorado National Monument.

The University also asked for a banner design that represented the compass program and could be prominently displayed on the website. A branding guidelines was created for the logo and the colors that are recommended to use from Colorado Mesa University’s branding guidelines.
