Study Designs

These illustration designs were created as passion projects after I completed my internship with Lady Boss Blogger. After working with Lady Boss I wanted to expand my illustration skills and expand my digital design itinerary. What I decided to do is start by doing study sketches where I would take a screengrab from a movie or a TV show and sketch that scene, ink it, and then work on shading and coloring to see how much I could expand my illustration skills.

Through this process, I found that you can really push the barrier with highlights, shadows, and depth to create something that I am proud of. Originally I would just illustrate the people or characters within the scene but then through each illustration, I wanted to complete the whole design and create backgrounds for these characters to live in. Give the designs a space to exist.

To this day I work on fun illustrations like these in my spare time and continue to expand my illustration skills and inventory.
