Hallazgo Imaginacion

The layout for this Mexican restaurant menu design embraces the lively and colorful essence of Mexican culture, blending traditional with contemporary imagery to create an inviting and dynamic atmosphere. “Halazgo Imagination” meaning “Discover Imagination” was created as a playful spin on cultural Alebrejes.

A rich and bold palette featuring vibrant hues such as deep reds, sunny yellows, lively oranges, and lush greens. These colors evoke the warmth of Mexican cuisine and culture while providing a lively backdrop for the restaurant's visual elements. The color elements were chosen in conjunction with the illustrations used to enhance their colorful nature and exemplify the playful push on imagination and color.

A combination of playful and elegant typefaces from the headings, using a modern serif, to the body text, a clean, modern sans-serif typeface to ensure readability and a balanced contrast. The heading categories and food item titles are painted in two different colors to highlight that they are equally as important and easy to locate but also unique in their own right. The main headings are highlighted in green and food items in blue to show a level of color hierarchy.

Throughout the design, the illustrated images of Alebrejes playfully sit or interact with the typography to make it feel as though the characters could come to life at any moment and pop from the menu.
